• Welcome

  • CNES (“Centre National d’Etudes Spatiales”, French Space Agency) is organizing the 30th International Symposium on Space Flight Dynamics (ISSFD) that will take place at La Cité Conference Center in Toulouse, France, from the 1st to 5th of June 2026.
The symposium will be held in person only.

ISSFD is a series of Symposia sponsored by various space agencies, including: APL (Applied Physics Laboratory), CNES (the French Space Agency), DLR/GSOC (German Space Operations Center), ESA/ESOC (European Space Operations Center), EUMETSAT (European Organisation for the Exploration of Meteorological Satellites), INPE (the Brazilian Institute for Space Research), JAXA/ISAS (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency), JPL (Jet Propulsion Laboratory), NASA/GSFC (Goddard Space Flight Center), Roscosmos, CSA (Canadian Space Agency), CAS (Chinese Academy of Sciences) and XSCC (Xi’an Satellite Control Center).

It is intended to provide an international forum for specialists in the field of space flight dynamics, with an emphasis on operational activities and results.

The symposia take place at an interval of about 24 months, and the sponsor agencies and centers take turns to organize it. The first ISSFD was held in 1981 in Darmstadt, Germany, and the previous (29th) ISSFD in 2024, Darmstadt, Germany. More information is available at: https://issfd.org.

Areas of interest for the ISSFD include, but are not limited to:

    • Flight dynamics operations
    • Orbit theory
    • Mission and trajectory design
    • GN&C measurement systems
    • Tracking and orbit determination
    • Maneuver design
    • Autonomous navigation
    • Attitude dynamics, determination, and control
    • Formation flying
    • Constellation design and maintenance
    • Space environment, orbital debris and collision risk mitigation

The working language of the Symposium is English.
We look forward to seeing you!
